Catalog sales analysis

  • inputting a customer’s "matched" order data

  • using shopify sales data: will this show what items are returned, if they used a discount, if the item is from brand #1 or brand #2

  • leverage returns information

  • can we upload the catalog to show the visual?

Ask:

  • Analyze the top items ordered

  • Is there a difference between existing buyers and prospects: what they are buying? If they use a discount? Their return rate? Their average order value?

  • Can it look at the catalog and give insight into what items/pages did they best? Can it pick up patterns we are missing?

  • If we go back and do this for past catalogs, how can we eventually compile overall data? For example, we would need to evaluate each catalog individually. Can that analysis of each individual catalog be held out there (do you need to create individual shared collections for each") and then can you ask more global questions about trends looking at multiple catalog results? Things like:

    • Are there pages that work better?

    • Are there items or categories that work better?

    • Are there patterns in color or print that we are not picking up on?

    • Can we analyse these catalog prospects that turn into customers... What is their repeat order rate? What is their lifetime value? What items are they gravitating towards? What is the difference in behavior between If they came in as a brand #1 buyer vs a brand #2 buyer?
