finding the right solutions for my different business units

I'm running into a challenge where I have multiple business units, each dealing with their own specific problems, and I'm having trouble connecting them with the right solutions or opportunities. Right now I'm using pretty basic methods to try to match needs with solutions, but I keep feeling like I'm missing obvious connections.

What I really need is something that can look at what each of my business units is struggling with and suggest matches that I wouldn't normally think of. Sometimes the best solutions come from unexpected places, and I want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything.

The other thing is that when I do find potential matches, I need to be able to explain to my team why it makes sense. I can't just say "trust me on this one" - I need real reasons and data to back up my recommendations when I present them.

Ideally, this would go deeper than just matching keywords or putting things in the same category. I need something that really understands the problems my business units face and can find creative solutions or partnerships that actually address those specific challenges.
